Weft hair extensions are widely used already for a long time in Africa and Brazil and are becoming mainstream in European hair salons. Hair stylists need to have the special skills of braiding corn-rows close to your scalp and to sew the wefts into the corn-rows.
This method is called Weaving, it is very gentle to your own hair as no chemicals or heat are used. You need to have fine hair of good volume. Often 2-3 cornrows is all that’s needed to sew the wefts into them. As there are not many stylists yet familiar with braiding corn-rows there is also the possibility of applying the wefts using micro-rings or glue, both a good alternative to weaving.
